Bush School
All children at the School participate in a weekly bush school session, all year round in all weather. Nature-based learning is a strong theme in the Steiner curriculum with outdoor play integrated into everyday learning. Nature is also a strong theme in learning experiences through stories, songs, craft, gardening and baking activities which are all strongly connected to the seasons. Bush School provides children with the opportunity to immerse themselves in outdoor play in a natural bush setting. These learning experiences extend children's understanding of sun, rain, air and earth including changes in the weather and natural rhythms. Children develop their physical skills and strength, and learn how to build and create with natural materials.
